We are currently serving 16 teachers at 7 elementary schools: Mitchell Elementary, Ellington Elementary, James Island Elementary, St. Andrew’s Math and Science, Whitesides Elementary School, Springfield Elementary School, and North Charleston Elementary School.
This is what teachers have to say…
About the curriculum: “I think my students took away so much knowledge and gained confidence and interest in science from the program. Not only did the unit encourage content knowledge and vocabulary, but it sparked an interest in students to explore the world around them and ask themselves questions about what they see and experience in their daily lives. The critical thinking, hands-on engagement, and creativity components of the unit push students to strengthen those skills in a way that they’re not fully aware they are being taught a skill, just that they are enjoying solving a problem.”
About Elementary Engineers Support: “The Elementary Engineers were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure we had the opportunity to attend professional developments, had the materials we needed, and were comfortable in implementing the units. The follow up emails and visits were great, as well as the additional activities and in-house visitors.”
