R. Buckminster Fuller, the renowned 20th century inventor and visionary, most well know for the geodesic dome said:
If I ran a school, I’d give the average grade to the ones who gave me all the right answers, for being good parrots. I’d give the top grades to those who made a lot of mistakes and told me about them, and then told me what they learned from them.
One thing we love about Engineering is Elementary is that mistakes are presented as learning opportunities and a critical part of engineering! Students never stop learning as they constantly improve their design, asking themselves “What works? What doesn’t? What could work better?”
