Mistakes are Encouraged

R. Buckminster Fuller, the renowned 20th century inventor and visionary, most well know for the geodesic dome said:

If I ran a school, I’d give the average grade to the ones who gave me all the right answers, for being good parrots. I’d give the top grades to those who made a lot of mistakes and told me about them, and then told me what they learned from them.

One thing we love about Engineering is Elementary is that mistakes are┬ápresented as learning opportunities and a critical part of engineering! Students never stop learning as they constantly improve their design, asking themselves “What works? What doesn’t? What could work better?”
